Equity follows a top female investment banker, played by two time Emmy Award-winner Anna Gunn (“Breaking Bad”) who leads a controversial tech IPO in the post financial crisis world where regulations are tight but pressure to bring in “big money” remains high. 

Numerous senior Wall Street executives were interviewed in the development of the script, allowing for realistic conflict, drama, and tension never before seen in the Wall Street film.

Equity is directed by Nora Ephron Prize-winning director, Meera Menon, who was named by Glamour Magazine as one of the 35 Women Under 35 Running Hollywood.  The screenplay is penned by Sundance writer Amy Fox (Heights), and the story is by Sarah Megan Thomas, Alysia Reiner, and Amy Fox. The music is composed by Alexis and Sam. 

In addition to Ms. Gunn, key cast in this ensemble drama include British star James Purefoy (“The Following”), Alysia Reiner (“Orange Is the New Black”), Sarah Megan Thomas (Backwards), Samuel Roukin (“Turn”), Carrie Preston (Emmy Award-winning actress for “The Good Wife”), Lee Tergesen (“Defiance”), James Naughton (The Devil Wears Prada), Craig Bierko (“UnREAL”), and David Alan Basche (“The Exes”). 

The movie is expected to be released Fall 2016. Broad Street Pictures, co-founded by Alysia Reiner (“Orange Is the New Black”) and Sarah Megan Thomas (Backwards), aims to create entertaining and thought-provoking movies while employing more women both in front of and behind the camera.
